Twin beach houses in Bribane, Australia by BVN

BVN has designed two twin beach houses in Bribane, Australia. The houses are elevated on a steel platform. Thanks to them has been able to give a greater height to the house so you can enjoy sea views, also has created a new transitional space between the exterior and interior, as a porch. The cubic volume appears to be floating, conveying a sense of lightness.

The skin of the facade is made of fiber cement sheets with a yellowish color that simulates the traditional houses of Brisbane. The plywood used in the windows have a double function to keep prying eyes away from inside the house and enhance the organic and sustainable role that architects have printed the project. Interior finishing local woods have been selected, highlighting the pine. The house has many elements that help save energy and water.
