Shinichi Ogawa home hub

The house is built on a grid modulated in three directions.

The home hub Shinichi Ogawa & Associates is built on a grid of 1.5 m in three Dimensions, X, Y, and Z.
The site is a corner of the new residential zone in Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa, Japan.
The building is a composition of a solid cube of 9x9x6 m and an empty bucket of 4.5 x4, 5×6 m

The hall, nursery, and kitchen are designed around the living room on the ground baja.En the first floor, master bedroom, dressing, bathing, are located around the double-height which is the empty bucket of 6 m in height. Each room of the interior space is connected through vacuum the living room.

The empty bucket short view of the sky with geometric fomas, allowing the entry of sunlight.

In this house, seasonal changes, over time and the activity of its inhabitants are possible in the empty space of double height.
