Patio lighting: illumination and decoration

A yard light can meet only a practical function, which is to precisely increase the brightness, the flow of natural light indoors, its construction may also respond strictly to aesthetic factors, there is also the possibility that the construct both. The truth is they are very nice, and it is more often found in contemporary home, patio light like the one shown in the picture.

In this case, light yard work as an attractive architectural element, which also provides its own wealth of natural light inside the house. In this sense, I understand a patio light of this kind involves a dual benefit, first add a component to stay interesting and unconventional, while enabling lower power consumption, or put another way, energy savings.

The picture of this patio, belongs to a house in Portugal, called “Casa Cerveira”, and has been designed by Architects DEMM. It’s a weekend house, in which the project seeks to promote a design that allowed the relationship and flow between inside and outside the home, which is achieved through the large windows or glass walls, completely covering one side of the house.

I found it interesting to share this proposal for a patio, then out of the ordinary, yet achieves a charming effect to a tree in the center and at the absolute protagonist of the place.
