Modern and minimalist house – house by Coscia Day Wave

Who said the very modern design house should be minimalist? Wave House for Coscia days shows that is not exactly true. The house is 2,250 feet and is located in the suburbs of Venice, California. The main distinguishing feature is a sculptural roof that resembles a wave breaking, which is suspended in time and space and floats over a garden area surrounded by glass.

The house also took their inspiration from the Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang – the color theme is black and white. In addition, the house is designed with many green features, including a warrant from the ceiling, white stitching / wall for the dissemination of solar collectors, wind and rain-sensing motor in the west windows and skylights spoon to catch the sea breeze and a large skylight about 29 feet of entry for the evacuation of hot rising air. The ground floor and mezzanine are solar hot water heating.

The house is not the first to be inspired by the waves. Ribbon House and House of Hartree wave by Tony Owen NDM are other striking examples of this inspiration.
