Broadcasting Place by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios

Designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley, the new lower building in central Leeds is home to educational facilities, offices and a dormitory. In total over 110,000 square feet on 23 floors. The dorm houses 240 rooms. Weathering steel gives you a sculptural aspect to the building, the facade has been designed by specialized software, which are designed each of the steel parts that compose it. The result is a new building, which has prioritized the optimization of natural light and reduce solar penetration.

In short, a new concept for educational buildings, showing building height may be a more than acceptable, housing not only lecture halls, but also rooms for students, maximizing the limited space available in central cities.
